It’s our pleasure to assist you with travel information for your visit to Tavanipupu Island Resort. We want to make it as simple as possible for you to plan your trip.
Guests flying in from the Europe and the US are recommended to first fly to Australia, where the selection of flights to the Solomon Islands is much more frequent and reliable.
Many flights to Solomon Islands from major international airports are non-stop and can be easily booked between Brisbane, Australia (airport code BNE), and Honiara, Solomon Islands (airport code HIR) are offered by Virgin Australia and Fly Solomon Airlines.
Fiji airline Air Pacific also schedules flights between Fiji, Vanuatu, and Honiara. Papua New Guinea’s Air Niugini also operates flights from Port Moresby to Honiara. Schedules and contacts for both airlines can be accessed through their websites.
Guests will need to arrange flights or boat transfers to Tavanipupu in advance from Honiara. Airport Code for Marau is RUS. Guests wanting boat transfer direct from Honiara must arrange in advance and weather permitting.
Guests arriving at Marau airport will be transferred to Tavanipupu by boat in a trip that takes 15-minutes to arrive at the resort island. Transfers are included in resort reservations.
We recommend including in your travel bags; sunscreen/sunblock, hat and sunglasses to make your visit more comfortable.
Being in a remote location we do suggest travel insurance due to flight changes and possible weather conditions that can alter your travel plans.
